I've answered some of the most common questions about my bridal hair and makeup experience to help you feel informed and confident every step of the way. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to get in touch.
BEFORE WE GET STARTED
01. Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! I provide on-location makeup and hair services for weddings and events, so you can relax and get ready in the comfort of your chosen location.
Bridal trials are typically held at my studio in Nyack, NY. If you prefer an on-location trial, I'm happy to travel to you on weekdays, subject to availability. Travel fees will apply based on your location.
Travel fees for wedding day services may also apply depending on your wedding location.
02. Is there a minimum booking requirement?
Yes. For Friday through Sunday weddings, a minimum of five services is required. Bridal makeup and bridal hair count as two separate services.
If your wedding doesn't meet the minimum, please feel free to inquire. Depending on my availability, I may be able to accommodate your date.
03. Do you work alone or with a team?
For smaller weddings, I typically work on my own. For larger bridal parties, I bring experienced artists from my trusted team to ensure everyone is ready on time while maintaining the same level of quality and care.
If additional artists are recommended or needed to accommodate your bridal party size or wedding morning timeline, an additional travel fee will apply for each artist traveling to your location.
If the minimum service requirement for a second or third artist is not met, an additional staffing fee may apply. Any applicable fees will always be discussed with you in advance and included in your personalized proposal, so there are no surprises.
04. Do you offer makeup-only or hair-only services?
Yes! You're welcome to book makeup-only or hair-only services for both the bride and members of the bridal party.
Whether you're looking for makeup only, hair only, or both, I'll work with you to create a personalized proposal based on your wedding day needs.
05. What is a bridal trial?
A bridal trial is an opportunity for us to create and refine your wedding-day look together.
We'll discuss your vision, review inspiration photos, and customize your makeup and hairstyle until you feel completely confident. My goal is for you to leave your trial excited and knowing exactly how you'll look on your wedding day.
06. Do I need a bridal trial?
A bridal trial is optional, but I highly recommend it.
It allows us to get to know each other, finalize your bridal look, and make any adjustments before your wedding day, giving you peace of mind when the big day arrives.
07. How long does a bridal trial take?
Bridal trials typically take up to three hours. This gives us plenty of time to consult, style, and perfect your look without feeling rushed.
08. How should I prepare for my bridal trial?
Please arrive with a clean, moisturized face and completely dry hair.
If you have inspiration photos, a veil, hair accessories, or hair extensions you'd like to incorporate, you're welcome to bring them. If you're unsure whether you'll need hair extensions, I can help guide you during your trial.
09. Can I change my makeup or hairstyle after the trial?
Absolutely.
Sometimes your vision evolves after the trial, and that's completely normal. We can discuss any changes before your wedding day, and if needed, you're welcome to schedule an additional trial.
10. Can my mom, mother-in-law, or bridesmaids book a makeup and/or hair trial?
Absolutely!
Your mother, mother-in-law, bridesmaids, or other family members are welcome to book a makeup and/or hair trial as well.
Their trial can be scheduled on the same day as your bridal trial or on a different day—whichever works best for everyone's schedule.
If you'd like to include additional trial appointments, simply let me know in advance so I can reserve enough time.
11. What if I have sensitive skin or allergies?
Please let me know about any allergies or skin sensitivities before your appointment.
I carefully select products based on your needs and am happy to use products you provide if that makes you more comfortable.
12. What products do you use?
I use a carefully curated selection of professional, luxury products from trusted brands such as Chanel, Dior, Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Natasha Denona, Anastasia Beverly Hills, and more.
Every product is chosen based on your skin type, preferences, and the look we're creating to ensure a beautiful, long-lasting finish.
13. are falsh lashes included?
Yes! False lashes are included for anyone receiving makeup services.
I'll help each person choose a lash style that complements their eyes and enhances their overall look, whether you prefer something soft and natural or a little more glamorous.
14. Can you style my hair with extensions or hair accessories?
Absolutely.
While hair extensions and accessories are not provided, I'm happy to incorporate the ones you bring into your hairstyle.
15. will you create a wedding morning timeline?
Yes.
Approximately 1–3 months before your wedding, I'll create a personalized beauty timeline to help your morning run smoothly and ensure everyone is ready on time. My goal is to create a calm, organized getting-ready experience so you can simply enjoy the moment.
16. do you provide a bridal touch-up kit?
Yes.
Every bride who books a bridal makeup and hair package receives a complimentary touch-up kit filled with carefully selected essentials to help keep your makeup looking fresh throughout the day.
Before I leave, I'll explain how to use each item so you'll feel confident touching up your makeup whenever needed.
17. Can you stay for touch-ups after everyone is finished?
Yes. If you'd like me to remain on-site for additional touch-up services or a hairstyle change before your reception, this can be added to your package based on availability.
18. How do I reserve my wedding date?
Once you're ready to move forward, I'll send you a contract and invoice for the retainer.
Your wedding date is officially reserved once the signed contract and retainer have been received.
19. When is the final payment due?
The remaining balance is due by your wedding day, as outlined in your contract.
20. What payment methods do you accept?
I currently accept cash, Zelle, and Venmo.
Pent was OUT OF THIS WORLD. She was able to provide not only myself (bride) but also my bridesmaids and mother / mother in-law with amazing soft-glam looks that lasted through outdoor beach weather. Pent and her team do an amazing job! Me, my wedding party and my mom all looked stunning on my wedding day! The make up and hair lasted all day! Pent is so sweet and does absolutely extraordinary work. I did a make up trial and a hair and make up trial, which both times gave me such confidence that I will look great for the wedding day. Pent is super hygienic, she washed her hands before our sessions, wore a mask when doing make up and used new clean brushes for each make up application. As someone who barely wears make up on a day to day basis I wanted a natural look that didn’t feel super heavy on the face. Pent’s work is so light and doesn’t make you feel like you have pounds of make up on. She helped guide me on shades, lip colors and real or fake lashes because once again I don’t have a lot knowledge on makeup up. Her prices were so reasonable for the bride and for the wedding party. I have never felt so beautiful in my life on my wedding day, and it was all thanks to Pent. I’m very picky and on top of that, I have a very bad skin allergy where I must avoid many products. Not only was Pent patient, but she went above and beyond by ensuring the products she used did not have the ingredient I was allergic to. She is also very intelligent - I have dry skin, and she emphasized to me to avoid using retinol the month of, which I use every night, as it could dry my skin more. Typically, my under eyes wrinkle with makeup, but I had absolutely no issue the day of. She also matched the example pictures I showed her on me - and she actually did better than them! I never wear my hair up because I hate how I look, but she truly did such an amazing job. Pent is wonderful - do not hesitate booking her.
